Welcome to St David's High School

Welcome to our prospective Year 7 students. We cannot wait for you to join our thriving St. David's community. We hope that the below presentation gives you an idea of what life is like at St David's High School.

Headteacher
Mr. S Richardson
Welcome to our prospective Year 7 students! We cannot wait for you to join our thriving St. David’s community. We know that you are probably feeling a mixture of emotions; nervous about moving to secondary school, excited about meeting new friends and learning new subjects but also a little apprehensive about settling in. Please do not worry, we know that starting secondary may be daunting, but we will make the transition as smooth and comfortable as possible.

Hopefully most of you will have had chance to visit the school but if you haven’t we hope this presentation gives you an idea of what life is like at St. David’s High School and why we are so excited you are going to join us in September.
Assistant Headteacher
Mr. J Walker
I have worked at St David's for 18 years and before becoming Assistant Headteacher I have also been Head of PE and a Head of Year. One of my jobs at the moment is to lead on primary transition which you probably know having met me many times at one of our events that we hosted at St David’s.
I also oversee whole school behaviour, rewards and attendance as well as a few other things. Outside of school I am a keen sportsman who loves the gym, football, golf and skiing (we have school ski trips!), as well as seeing the latest films in the cinema.
Your Head of Year
Mr. M Jones
Hi all, and welcome to St David’s High School. I will be your Head of Year in September.

I teach Product Design and PE, so you wouldn’t be surprised to know my hobbies are very sports orientated as I play lots of football and golf.

A fun fact about myself is that I am afraid of frogs.

I am very excited for September and hope everyone is well and safe.
